Nicholas R. Ramcharitar graduated with a dual major from Hofstra University, focusing on Political Science in 2008. During his time in Undergraduate school, he dedicated his time to both volunteer work as an EMT and as a member of the New York Presbyterian EMS team in Manhattan pre- and post-September 11, 2001.
He went on to Law School in Fort Lauderdale FL, attending Nova Southeastern School of Law. His accomplishments included working for Professor Catherine Arcabasico with the Innocence Project, Florida, competing successfully in the International Law Oral Arguments Competition in Trinidad & Tobago held by the CCJ (Caribbean Court of Justice). In addition, he extended his studies in International Sports Law while living/studying in Florence, Italy.
Upon returning back home to Queens, New York, he successfully sat for the New York State Bar Exam. He began his career as Associate Counsel for Nassau OTB Corporation for two years. He then moved to practice Criminal Law with The Suffolk County Legal Aid Society for approximately three years. Upon a successful term at the Legal Aid Society, he has now accepted a position with the Law Offices of Keegan & Keegan, Ross & Rosner LLP, where he continues criminal defense and will expand his litigation skills to fill the firm’s ever-growing need in personal injury and general litigation.
