Third Annual Cohalan Cares for Kids
On February 6, 2014, the Suffolk County Bar Association will be hosting the third annual Cohalan Cares for Kids fundraiser. The event takes place at 560 Wheeler Road, Hauppauge, New York between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

Our Immigrant Nation at the Patchogue Artspace Building
On November 14, 2013, the Patchogue Artspace Building hosted a presentation titled “Our Immigrant Nation: Journey into a New Frontier of Storytelling.”

The program highlighted the history of many of the participants’ background pointing out that we are all immigrants. Undoubtedly the highlight of the evening was the story of a 90 year old lady telling of her experience as a new immigrant in New York City in the second grade, over 80 years ago. In her brief but moving and telling story, she reminded all that whether your ancestors arrived on the Mayflower in 1620 or traveled by bus from Mexico last year, we are indeed a nation of immigrants.

- DISTANCE: 5k (3.1miles) – Fast and Flat | 1k (approx. ½ mile) – participation ribbon and raffles – starts 7:30am sharp
- LOCATION: Start and Finish at River Elementary School, Patchogue
- START: 8:00am – Numbers and t-shirts may be picked up starting 6:30am | Day of race registration starts at 6:30am and ends at 7:45am
- FEE: $20.00 pre-registered – top quality dry fit t-shirts guaranteed to all registrations received before 4/15/12. $25.00 day-of-race – cotton t-shirts to same day registrants while supplies last
